About This Work
Hot on the heels of Anne-Marie's sell out UK and Ireland tour, the Festival Run - which included Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium and Radio 1's Big Weekend - needed a creative rethink. We know that a tour audience buys a ticket to see a very specific artist. A festival audience doesn't. So I knew we were performing to a crowd beyond Anne-Marie's core fanbase. On top of resetting areas of the show for a daylight performance and a stage that will be shared with other performers, I reworked staging and choreography to grab a diverse audience in the first 30 seconds of lights up. The goal was to make sure that if audience members weren't fans of Anne-Marie walking in, they would be on their way out.
