You've seen it in your head. The event, the show, the moment that people can't stop posting about. I make that the plan, not the hope.

You've seen it in your head. The event, the show, the moment that people can't stop posting about. I make that the plan, not the hope.

In my experience, plenty of high-level productions are held together with zip ties and optimism.

No one is aiming for this.

It usually creeps up on you and is mostly linked to:

// Not quite enough rehearsal time

// A cast booked on a shoestring budget

// Crossed wires and simple miscommunications, and;

// A big expectations gap between the creative team (ideas without limits) and the operations team (logistics with huge limits)

So everyone prays it'll be alright on the night. Sometimes it is alright on the night, but often it isn't.

And while the audience generally can't tell the difference, ultimately they don't leave with the experience you worked so hard for them to have.

"Alright" isn't enough. Which is why we build the conditions for excellence first.

Every brief says "make it unforgettable." but few people will build the right boundaries that let it happen.

Every brief says "make it unforgettable." but few people will build the right boundaries that let it happen.

My secret formula for a knockout production isn't so secret. Essentially it comes down to:

// Comprehensive communication and planning with you and your team.

// The perfect performers, cast by me.

// Pre-scheduled preparation time, the right people in the right positions and plenty of good mood energy to make thing run while being fun (sure, my studio will get hot, but we stay calm under pressure all day every day.)

And when the production setup is solid, creating the "spectacular" doesn't need to rely on luck because it's the plan we've been working from since we began.

It's also why elite performers in the UK, USA, and Europe answer when I call. They know they'll be looked after on a project with me and my team, so they show up and go harder since that's all they need to focus on.

When your performers leave it all on the stage, you feel that deeply, and so does your audience. That's important.

Because nobody remembers the show that came in on budget. They remember the show thousands can't stop talking about years later.

Creative direction to choreography, and everything between.

Creative direction to choreography, and everything between.

// 001

Creative Direction

You arrive with an artist, a brand, a moment, or just an ambition and a budget. I turn it into a world: the idea that holds it together, the story it tells, how it looks and moves and sounds, and the team it takes to build. I bring the right people in and I lead them, so what lands on the night feels like one clear idea, not eight good ideas battling each other. You get a production with a point of view, and one person accountable for all of it.

Creative Direction

// 002

Movement Direction

Everything on your stage or screen is moving, and all of it is saying something, whether you meant it to or not. My job is to make it say the right thing. Dancers, actors, a full crowd, a presenter who swears blind they can't move, and the camera catching all of it. Hand me someone who has never danced a step and I'll make them look like they were born there, so the movement tells as much of the story as the script does.

Creative Consulting

Sometimes you don't need me to run the whole show. You need a sharp second brain on the concept before the budget goes out the door. I come in early, pull the idea apart, tell you what's been done to death and what could genuinely be great, and help you get the right creative people in the room. It's the cheapest moment in any project to change direction, and the best time to have someone in your corner who's built these before.

Creative Consulting

// 004

Choreography

When it's the dance itself you're after, this is it. Created specifically for the bodies performing it, for the chosen space it needs to fill, whether that's a stadium, a screen, a stage or a studio. Every move is tailored to the production you’re creating and the message you want to communicate; I’ll never pull a routine off a shelf to be dropped into your show. The choreography is built for the moment it belongs to, and it registers from the front row to the very back of the room it’s performed in.

A few words from the people who were there.

A few words from the people who were there.

"Forever your biggest hype woman"

I came from a dance background, but I'd had a long break before starting to work with Kloé again. I was feeling insecure about how my body was moving and my ability within dance, and she helped me find that confidence again in myself. She was patient and attentive, and allowed me to go at my own pace whilst challenging me to push myself, knowing I had her support. I'm proud of the work we did together, but the process and journey to get there was amazing. Her energy is second to none. She will forever be your biggest hype woman, always in your corner, even when you're doubting yourself.

Little Simz // Award winning rapper, songwriter and actor

"Kloé understands exactly what a brand needs"

Kloé is a breath of fresh air to work with. She has an incredible ability to stay calm, adaptable and solution-focused, especially when navigating the last-minute changes and evolving priorities that come with working with a global brand. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and she consistently finds solutions without compromising on quality. What really sets her apart is her ability to understand exactly what a brand needs while staying authentic to the culture and community she's working within. She strikes the right balance between commercial objectives and cultural authenticity, creating work that genuinely resonates. She's someone you genuinely want on your team.

Holly Burridge // Dance, Events & Culture Marketing Specialist — Red Bull

"Confident without the ego"

Working with Kloé showed me that the possibilities are endless, and that positively impacts the outcome of every production. Her working style is tailor-made to every artist, from the budget to her approach to teaching, which helps them find a sense of comfort that doesn't feel completely foreign. She is very collaborative and, more importantly, confident without the ego that can so often overshadow talent.

Casey Elisha // Tour Manager

"Her impact reaches far beyond the steps"

Kloé is one of those rare collaborators whose impact reaches far beyond the steps. She has a brilliant ability to make movement feel cinematic, characterful and alive. Across styles, from street to break, hip-hop and movement-led heightened naturalism, she always finds the feeling underneath it. What makes her special is the mix of taste, technical skill and emotional intelligence she brings into the room. Her work is bold, stylish and ridiculously cool, but the process is always warm, generous and human. She doesn't just choreograph movement, she creates the conditions for people to feel free enough, brave enough and alive enough to move.

Ato Yankey // Director

"She really understood my movement language"

Working with Kloé was wonderful. She really understood my movement language and enhanced what I do naturally. She worked with me from my place of being a singer who wants to incorporate movement, who isn't naturally a dancer. I really appreciated the little details she was mindful of: holding the mic in certain ways to allow certain movements, being considerate of breath work, and implementing pace through the performance. She was able to push me while being respectful of what I did and didn't feel comfortable with. I felt confident taking what we created together onto the stage, and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be.

NAO // Singer-songwriter and Producer

"It re-affirmed my belief in collaboration"

Working with Kloé Dean has been one of the most fulfilling collaborative experiences I've had in the last couple of years, because she is a genuine collaborator. The way she makes performers and the creative team feel heard, and cared for physically, emotionally and intellectually, has been so conscientious, so open, and so effectively subtle at times. It re-affirmed my belief in collaboration. Her spirit, her acceptance of feedback, her directorial and leadership skills are phenomenal and instinctive. It was so easy to build a rapport with her, and as a multidisciplinary artist she gave me the space to be myself.

Inua Ellams // Writer, Curator + Performer

"Not just heart, but life and pizzazz"

First and foremost, I think of Kloé's courage and confidence. She listens deeply, then goes away and thinks about what she offers, so when she offers you something, it's very considered. Many people avoid that for fear of being wrong or rejected. What it made possible was releasing the worry about movement in the show. She cared for the cast in the most sensitive way, which made true joy exude from them, even as the performances became tiring. Her care in the process, her quiet focus and her persistence gave our panto not just heart, but life and pizzazz.

Tonderai Munyevu // Writer, Director, Actor

"She is a force and works in an expansive way to active the vision"

It’s hard to put into words what Kloe Dean’s artistry means to me. She is a visionary and a collaborator I hold with such high regard. Both of our energies have come together many times now- up and down the country, studio to field site and Syria to Harlem. We paint worlds and create shows that have captivated audiences, heightened space between scenes- a style which is slick, considered and grounded in characterisation. There is the constant urge to tell stories that touch the soul and reflect our world. She is a force and works in an expansive way to active the vision. Heart working and true. She is a Joy in any room.

Monique Touko // Director

"A complete joy to work with"

I've worked with Kloé on productions big and small, and what never changes is her unwavering attention to detail and her determination to bring the best out of her team and everyone around her. Not only does she have unmatched talent and professionalism, she's also just incredibly nice and warm. Kloé is a complete joy to work with.

007 // ABOUT

Hey. I'm Kloé.

I'm a London based and internationally known creative director, movement director, creative consultant and choreographer. I've been hyper-fixated on translating creative vision and corporate communications into high-impact entertainment experiences for my clients for over a decade. I love it. Turns out I'm also really good at it.

From arena-scale productions and major artist promos to brand campaigns and film, I create movement systems that tell unforgettable stories. This is the kind of work that often hits the body way before it reaches the brain, and by the time the audience catches up, they're already sold. It works really well for people and products who want to be remembered for all the right reasons.
